What are some good diet tips?

I’m starting a new diet. and i always give up in the middle. I’m thinking of starting an eating log but i don’t know if that will help me. Any tips or pointers on what to eat, exercise, and stuff like that?

    1. Add just one fruit or veggie serving daily. Get comfortable with that, then add an extra serving until you reach 8 to 10 a day.

    2. Eat at least two servings of a fruit or veggie at every meal.

    3. Resolve never to supersize your food portions—unless you want to supersize your clothes.

    4. Make eating purposeful, not mindless. Whenever you put food in your mouth, peel it, unwrap it, plate it, and sit. Engage all of the senses in the pleasure of nourishing your body.

    5. Start eating a big breakfast. It helps you eat fewer total calories throughout the day.

    6. Make sure your plate is half veggies and/or fruit at both lunch and dinner.

    12. Instead of whole milk, switch to 1 percent. If you drink one 8-oz glass a day, you’ll lose 5 lb in a year.

    13. Juice has as many calories, ounce for ounce, as soda. Set a limit of one 8-oz glass of fruit juice a day.

    14. Get calories from foods you chew, not beverages. Have fresh fruit instead of fruit juice.

    I think that no one should go on a diet, all you have to do is eat five a day , drink lots of water and get up your bum and do some exersize:D

    for me i have been doing the clean eating diet where you only eat clean unprocessed food(fruit, veggies and meat) if you can mix it up and not get bored then it is the perfect diet because that is how our bodies are suppost to eat. never ever drink calories ( pop and so on) thats one major mistake alot of people make and it is so eay to avoid.
    if you clean eat and dont cheat then i promise you you will lose weight! you should only be eating to live not living to eat..i hope this helps.

    Eat mini meals through out the day.Whole wheat bread rather than white.Eat chicken,turkey and pork.Keep the red meat under control.Eat fresh fruits and vegetables.If you eat salads,opt for low calorie dressings.Drink tons of water,if you drink soda,make sure it’s diet and regular contains a lot of sugar.I drink green tea every day,it’s full of antioxidants and a natural diuretic.I like to use equal or sweet and low in mine.Cooking your meat is just as important,opt for baking or broiling instead of frying.Try to eat fish as often as you can,anything you like including tuna.As far as exercise is concerned,do something that burns calories,I use to have a stationary bike and would ride it every night for at least an hour.I would put on some head phones and listen to my music and cycle away.I truly got addicted to doing it so much so that I broke the frame and had to have it welded back together.When you do an exercise like that the endorphins kick in from your brain.Other than that,just remember that the first 5 pounds that you lose are water.Hope this has been of some help to you.
